You Have Everything You Need to Grow Your Company. Here’s the 1 Thing Stopping You

Being stuck in your business can be extremely frustrating.

I've been there before. You can't figure out what your next step should be, and you start overthinking things. Heck, you might even feel so discouraged that you consider calling it quits.

When we can't make progress with our businesses, we automatically assume that we're missing a piece of the puzzle. There's that voice in the back of our heads, saying, "I'm this close to hitting my goal, and achieving my dreams. But there's something that's holding me back. I just need to figure out what it is."

But here's the thing: More often than not, what gets us stuck is our mindsets. In other words: we already have all the answers. We just fail to execute our visions.

Think about it. We know we need to document our processes and invest more time on marketing, but we get caught up answering emails all day.

Now, it's common for businesses to struggle with focus. This happens to everyone. But if you don't take yourself out of it, this could potentially mean the death of your business. So what can you do to stop spinning your wheels and start growing again?

Here are three simple things you can start doing today:

1. Figure out the root of your problems.

You might say that your problem is not being able to hire A players. Fair enough.

Dig a little deeper and you'll realize that the real problem is that your company isn't attractive to A players. Once you get this, it's simply a matter of addressing the problem--in this case, improving your work environment so that A players do want to work at your company.

The same concept applies to other examples. If you can uncover the root of your problems, solving them will be surprisingly easy.

2. Learn from successful business owners.

By learning both the do's and the don'ts from successful business owners, you're basically hacking your way to success.

Don't just focus on marketing or sales strategies -- take a look at how these business owners manage their business on a day-to-day basis. What areas do they spend the most time on? How do they motivate their team?
At the end of the day, understanding the key principles and mindsets of these successful people will give you a huge leg up on the competition.

3. Keep yourself accountable.

If you can resist busy work and other distractions, that's half the battle won.

Look, I know keeping yourself accountable is easier said than done. It's easy to fall back into your old habits, and stick with the status quo.

Don't be afraid to ask for some external help. I recommend getting an accountability partner, or a mentor/coach who can keep you on track.

The bottom line? As an entrepreneur, you've got to trust your instincts, and you can't constantly second-guess yourself.

So stop wondering what it is that you're missing, and get to work on executing your vision. It all boils down to addressing the root of your problems, keeping yourself accountable, and learning from successful business owners. You've got this!
