You're probably familiar with influencer marketing. Even top brands like Amazon are using it.

But did you know that it can be an extremely effective way to establish trust, and engage a relevant audience? And a trusting, highly-engaged audience is the best way to increase sales.

Here are some of the best ways to increase sales, and make more money with influencer marketing.

1. Have influencers tell a story around your brand

To convince your target audience to buy from you, you need to make sure they have a clear understanding of how they can benefit from you. And you want to do this in an engaging manner so it doesn't seem overly promotional.

That's why influencers are perfect for increasing sales. They know how to tell a story about a brand, product, or service in a way that will resonate with their audience.

Example: Public Mobile

An excellent example is how Public Mobile used influencer marketing to address the pain points of their target customers. The influencers created photos and videos in which they highlighted the issues of paying high prices for unreliable coverage.

But they didn't just talk about the issue. Instead, they created funny videos in which they portrayed the issues in engaging, yet informative ways.

Influencer Matthew Paquette, for instance, created bite-sized videos promoting Public Mobile. In one of his videos, he tried building a machine to get cell reception.

But once Matthew got reception, the machine blew up. The video ended with the message, "finding cell reception shouldn't be this hard," along with the Public Mobile logo.

According to a Viral Nation case study, the influencers created a total of 16 posts for the campaign. This generated more than 2.5 million impressions, and 439,000+ interactions. The campaign worked so well that Public Mobile had some issues keeping up with the demand for their service.

2. Have influencers promote discount codes

When influencers tell a story around your brand, product, or service, they create a desire in their audience to buy from you. This desire alone may be enough to convince many people to go through with their purchase.

But that's not the case for every single consumer. Some may expect a little bit more from you in exchange for choosing your brand.

You can further motivate them to make a purchase by having influencers promote a discount code. Through the influencer's content, many consumers will already be somewhat interested in buying from you. And the presence of a deal or a discount makes your product or service even more desirable. It can help convince them to go through with their purchases.

Example: Daniel Wellington

Daniel Wellington has been consistently using this tactic since their inception. By getting influencers to promote their watches with discount codes, Daniel Wellington has been able to sell a million watches within just three years of inception.

Influential Instagrammer, @money.moch, for example, recently promoted the watch brand with a discount code. In just one day, the post already has more than 3,600 likes.

Conclusion

These are some of the best ways to work with influencers to increase sales. Remember, it's all about having influencers tell a great story to your target consumers. One that will arouse in them a strong desire for your products or services. And then offering them a special discount to make your offer even more alluring to close the sale.
